About this Package

The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) requires you to complete 18 hours of continuing education during every 3-year renewal period. But it's a little more complicated than that:

  • 2 hours on a relevant legal topic are due by the end of the first year
  • 2 hours on a different legal topic must be taken in the second year
  • A final 2-hour legal course is due in the third year
  • An additional 12 hours of electives can be taken at any point during the renewal cycle

Michigan's continuing education schedule used to follow the calendar year, but the rules have changed. The "year" now starts on November 1st and ends on October 31st. It's important to keep that in mind when scheduling your legal credits.

We offer three Michigan CE Renewal Packages that are designed to satisfy these requirements with no confusion. Each package satisfies one year's legal requirements and a third of your elective hours. Just cycle through one package per "year" (November to October) and complete each before Halloween. You'll get 6 hours of CE per year with no repeats.

This particular package provides an overview of agency law for your annual 2-hour legal credit. You'll also complete 4 elective hours studying the concepts of sustainability and human ecology in real estate practice.

After you successfully complete each course, you'll be able to print or save a certificate of completion. By Michigan regulations, you're personally responsible for retaining a copy for 4 years. You'll need it if LARA conducts an audit of your CE.

FAQs

How do I know you're a LARA-approved course provider?

You can find us on Michigan's CE Marketplace under Distance Learning, course codes C017819 through C017840.

What is the deadline for completing my continuing education courses?

Your 2 mandatory legal credits are due each year on or before October 31st. Electives just need to be taken before your license is up for renewal.

How do I turn in my CE hours?

Michigan now puts the responsibility on real estate professionals to keep proof of their CE for 4 years. They enforce the continuing education requirements through random audits of these documents.

What else do I need to do to renew my license?

LARA will remind you of your renewal about 90 days before your license is due to expire. You'll have to renew online and submit your required fee with a credit card. They won't accept or process any applications or payments provided in person or by mail.

Once your license expires, you won't be able to legally conduct real estate activities, so it's important to meet all renewal requirements on time.

When do my courses expire?

Your courses will expire one (1) year after you purchase them (the date you submit payment), unless the course itself indicates otherwise.

For more information about course expiration dates, please read our Terms of Use

What if I need a refund for my training course?

If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:

  • Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
  • You have NOT:
    • Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
    • Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
    • Completed 50% or more of the purchased course.

If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to support@360training.com with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.

You can find more information about our refund policy here.
